NBA trade rumors 2015: Markieff Morris, Kevin Martin could be first to move

Right now, all of the National Basketball Association (NBA) teams are focused on preparing for the regular season opening. So with that said, it seems unlikely we will be hearing any more NBA trades at least for the first couple of months.

After that, then what?

Chances are players who have lost their starting spot or shown dissatisfaction will be moved first. Right now, the names of Markieff Morris and Kevin Martin lead the pack.

Morris needs no further elaboration. Despite claiming that he wants to be with the Phoenix Suns, many believe that such is half-cooked. Morris could be simply doing it to keep his job and see what happens in the course of the season. But at some point, something has to give and the best bet is seeing Morris being dealt for someone the Suns need.

Detroit is keeping tabs with the situation but who do they give? While the answer to that has been a big question mark in the past weeks, a likely player could be Brandon Jennings.

Jennings has been out of commission due to injury (ruptured left Achilles) but a healthy player like him can certainly add a new dimension to any team. His numbers speak for itself — 15.4 points, 6.6 assists, and 1.1 steals before ending his season prematurely.

But the question is do the Suns really need a guard at this point in exchange for a power forward in Morris?

Then there is Martin of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Martin has been displaced with Zach LaVine so the guard could be of better use for any other team in need of a sweet-shooting guard like him.

Martin does have a lot of room for improvement but as it stands, he could end up being better off playing elsewhere.

But the question there is where and what the T-Wolves would want in return.
