NBA trade news 2015: Who was Josh Smith jawing with in the Los Angeles Clippers locker room?

Los Angeles Clippers were below .500 following a loss last Sunday and the frustration was mounting. And perhaps such is why one player, Josh Smith, was so infuriated that he started to exchange sweet nothings with an unnamed assistant coach of the Los Angeles Clippers.

According to the OC Register, the shouting came from the Clippers locker room right after they lost to the Toronto Raptors Sunday, 91–80.

The ruckus was apparently heard through the cement walls separating the Clippers locker room and the media but was evidently downplayed by head coach Doc Rivers.

According to Rivers, it was nothing out of the ordinary and simply something normal that goes on in a locker room especially after a tough loss.

"It's (like any) locker room after you lose and play like that. Guys are upset," Rivers said via the OC Register. "That's about it."

The Clippers fell to 6–7 following that loss, although it could not be determined if the profanities were tied up with that. But as J.J. Reddick pointed out, it was because the team was losing and, apparently, the mood was not that good.

The loss was the team's third in a row and the worst start for the Clippers since the arrival of point guard Chris Paul.

Despite the seeming spiraling fortunes, Blake Griffin believes that they need to shrug it off and prevent negativity from setting in.

Although the start does come surprising, the Clippers can still bounce back. Some of the players (Griffin and Smith included) have been having bad games but at some point, something has got to give.

The Clippers next faced the Denver Nuggets, a young but dangerous team, last Tuesday, winning 111–94. The win over the Nuggets places them back at the .500 mark and hopefully, such should help simmer down the frustration from within.
