NBA trade rumors 2016: Charlotte Hornets looking at Bojan Bogdanovic

The Charlotte Hornets have been plagued with injuries, so looking at prospective players should not come as a surprise.

While the Hornets aren't exactly out to reel in big names or high profile players, it may be all about filling in the void of key positions. One position that needs filling in direly is the small forward spot, which Jeremy Lin has been trying to fill in for in lieu of an injured Nicolas Batum.

Lin has been doing well but his consistency playing a stretch-three (or forcing some other off guards to play the three spot) has not really been turning out well. So with that in mind, the Hornets are on the prowl and Brooklyn Nets shooter Bojan Bogdanovic seems to be on the list.

The Nets aren't faring well either, so a possible deal could be in the offing.

Sporting News claims that general manager Billy King may be conceding (quietly), which could eventually mean that some players could be dealt off soon.

Bogdanovic is currently averaging about 10 points per game and holds a 35 percent shooting average from beyond the arc.

While interest on Bogdanovic is currently in the air, a key spot that the Hornets may want to address is the center position (right knee injury). The Hornets don't exactly have someone in mind to fill that position just yet.

Aside from the center requirement issue, the Hornets have long been looking for someone who can help from the outside. It was something they wanted even when Jefferson was healthy, something that could free up the middle and provide more space to operate for their big men.

But if they do end up gaining the attention of the Nets, it will be interesting what kind of deal materializes. Will it be draft picks? Money considerations? Such remains to be seen.
