NBA trade rumors 2016: Milwaukee Bucks open to trade offers for Greg Monroe and Michael Carter-Williams

The Milwaukee Bucks haven't exactly done well this season despite the presence of two certified National Basketball Association (NBA) stars in Michael Carter-Williams and prized recruit Greg Monroe.

Even though it could be a question of chemistry, the fact is the Bucks had high expectations which include improving on their performance last season.

The Bucks were able to snag the sixth seed last season but with Carter-Williams and Monroe around, expectations were either a repeat of that performance or better.

As of this writing, the Bucks are toting a woeful 20–32 card which is the third worst record in the Eastern Conference. While Milwaukee could still make a move to rise among the ranks, it will take a lot of work to do so.

However, a report from the Fox Sports indicates that a change may soon take place and it involves moving Carter-Williams and Monroe. The move comes as a surprise, considering that these are two players who have proven their worth.

Carter-Williams has had a so-so season with the Bucks so far, while Monroe has shown what he can do on the offensive end but a liability in defense.

A trade for the two who are having awful season to date may not merit interest, although teams who could be rebuilding for the future this early could bite. Teams who are also in search of key backup players could consider them, but the Bucks could end up on the losing end.

The last word on this is that the Bucks are serious about trading away the two stars. With a season that could still be saved, a good trade could make it happen. Then again, it could end up a disaster for the struggling Bucks, not to mention letting go of two players who are simply just off and learning the system of head coach Jason Kidd.
