Following Rudy Gay's expression of displeasure over the way things were being run by the Sacramento Kings, the 29 year old forward may find himself being traded off to another team.

With the stilted relationship between the team management and Gay, it comes as no surprise that they are willing to part ways with him but a deal doesn't seem to fall through. It has been speculated that the Kings are holding out for more than what other teams are willing to part for Gay.

According to a report by Yibada, Gay may be headed to the Minnesota Timberwolves as the Kings consider taking on Ricky Rubio.

Gay's addition to the Timberwolves may prove to be a good deal for Minnesota Gay, whose average is 17.2 points per game and a 46.3 percent shooting from the field, could provide the veteran presence that could help Tim Thibodeau. Gay could also become a sort of mentor Andrew Wiggins.

The Kings, could benefit from a strong young point guard in Rubio.

Other reports indicate that Gay is looking to get Gay into their roster as well.

According to rumors posted on the Miami Herald, Gay is very interested in joining Miami but the team may not have the assets to acquire him.

"Miami likely lacks the tradable assets to acquire him if it wanted to and his $14.2 million player option for 2017-18 is worrisome. Players signed this month in free agency cannot be traded until Dec. 15," sports analyst Barry Jackson said.

Miami makes a lot of sense after the gaping hole left by the decision of Dwayne Wade to join the Warriors. With his loss, it is unlikely that they will give up their remaining stars Chris Bosh, Goran Dragic, Tyler Johnson or Justin Winslow.
