The National Basketball Association (NBA) is nearing its Feb. 8 trade deadline, and several teams are already scrambling to make the necessary adjustments to their players to finalize their rosters heading into the postseason.

The Boston Celtics are rumored to be interested in acquiring Memphis Grizzlies guard Tyreke Evans. Negotiations for the player seem to be underway as the 10-year veteran will reportedly sit out the next couple of games until Feb. 8 in order to prevent possible injuries and keep his trade value intact.

Evans has been averaging 19.5 points per game this season, shooting 45.8 percent from the field with 5.0 rebounds and assists per outing. Boston is rumored to have Evans provide depth to their bench scorers.

Another player who is rumored to be switching Jerseys by next Tuesday is New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis. According to reports, three top contending teams -- Boston, San Antonio, and Golden State -- are considering to sign up the former two-time All Star.

"A.D. is obviously a great player, but they're stuck and his free agency is coming faster than you think," a GM told Sporting News. "It is hard to operate under the gun with a situation like that, so it is something they'll need to at least explore this summer. If Dell stays on, he is going to want to find ways to keep building and maybe even take a chance on keeping DeMarcus. But if Dell goes, there are four or five teams hoping hard for a fire sale."

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks are interested in acquiring Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside. It is speculated that the Heat will acquire Whiteside in exchange for Jabari Parker or Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe is currently averaging 16.8 points per game with 4.1 assists, while Parker previously tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) for a second time and is set to return to action very soon.
