NBA trade rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers going for Blesdoe, Melo, Lopez in three team trade deal

Among the rumors floating around is that Eric Blesdoe could end up as part of the 2016 championship team.

According to ESPN insider Chad Ford, the Knicks may be open to the idea of unloading some of their backcourt players like Blesdoe and Knight in order to focus their offense on Devin Booker, thus sending Blesdoe to the Cavs.

While it is still unconfirmed, Ford said that three teams may figure into this deal including the Cavs, the Suns and the Knicks.

In addition to Blesdoe, the team also stands to gain Carmelo Anthony and Robin Lopez from the Knicks as the Knicks would be keen to do away with Melo's expensive contract.

While he would have to waive his no trade policy, management is confident that his friendship with LeBron could be a strong factor in him accepting the deal.

In return for the players they will get, the Cavs will send Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Mo Williams and Sasha Kaun to Phoenix.

As for LeBron leaving the team after a year, Ford said in a separate forum that it is highly unlikely.

"I don't think so. But I think he needs to maintain the appearance that he could leave. I spoke about this in our NBAFrontOffice piece today. But I think LeBron lacks faith in the combo of David Blatt, David Griffin and Dan Gilbert. He's now committed to the Cavs, but doesn't believe the Cavs have other championship pieces in the front office," he said.

Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love have yet to express their intent to move to another team and it is possible they will remain where they are unless traded somewhere else for an entirely different team.
