NCAA March Madness 2015 bracket predictions: Kentucky all the way? Virginia, Wisconsin and Duke to surprise?

Wikipedia

March Madness is fast approaching and come March 15, 2015 (Selection Sunday), seedings will finally be known. Who is in and who is out? That is perhaps what best summarizes what hoop fans are looking forward to.

And on that note, there could be some surprises which would arise although it gets better once the brackets have been made. Will the top seeded teams prevail or will the number 2 seeds pull off the surprise?

These are just among the questions to be answered and until that time, expect a lot of predictions and wild guesses.

This early, there is one team that is a heavy favorite, the Kentucky Wildcats. With a team filled with blue chip players bound for the NBA, John Calipari's boys are bound to be the center of attention. And with potential top prospects Karl-Anthony Towns and Willie Cauley-Stein in tow, the Wildcats look pretty formidable and a tough nut to crack.

However, there are other teams which could stand up to the Wildcats. Among the other teams which can gain the top seed include Virginia Cavalier, Wisconsin Badgers and the Duke Blue Devils among others.

Virginia boasts of a great defensive unit which could somehow stand up to a team like the Wildcats. Even without star guard Justin Anderson, the Cavaliers have found a way to get it together with just one loss to show.

Wisconsin could pull of some surprises as well with Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker in tow. And they have proven that they can by going through a Big Ten gauntlet thanks to the explicit guidance of coach Bo Ryan.

And of course there is the Duke Blue Devils of coach Mike Krzyzewski who cannot be counted out. Having lost only to Notre Dame, the team is expected to continue to rely on Jahlil Okafor who will continue his dominance inside the paint.

And the others? Well, it all depends on the pairings and how well teams are able to adjust with their billings.

Selection Sunday is on March 15 while the first round commences on March 17-18 at the UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio.
