'NCIS: LA' season 6 spoilers: Terrorists kidnap Callen and Sam

This episode couldn't have come at a better time. With all the news about ISIS going around, "NCIS: Los Angeles" takes a risk by airing an episode that deals with this group of terrorists. Only this time, Callen and Sam are the victims.

Right after the last episode aired, a quick promo for episode 15 "Forest For The Trees" was immediately shown. Seeing the plot, this might just be the most intense and provocative episode in the entire series yet. From food truck vendors to terrorist victims, Callen and Sam are both in extreme danger and it can't get any more intense than that.

In the preview, an anonymous tip is called in about an ISIS cell in the city. Immediately, Callen and Sam are asked to follow the tip and investigate it. Upon reaching their destination, they fall into a trap and are immediately captured by the terrorist group. Later, the team behind NCIS starts to doubt where Callen and Sam are as they haven't heard from them yet.

According to the official synopsis, "Callen and Sam are kidnapped when they follow an anonymous tip about a missing NSA agent. When the team discovers they are nowhere to be found, they realize it could have been a trap set by terrorists."

While this is not the first time Callen and Sam have been kidnapped in the series, the story with the ISIS terrorist group makes the entire situation more dangerous. Everyone knows how serious these people are. This really begs the question, why would "NCIS: Los Angeles" tackle a storyline like this?

Carter Matt says that the ISIS storyline may just be a piece of the puzzle. The site deems that there could be a surprise coming, since CBS doesn't exactly give a lot of details away beforehand. Still, fans are hoping that there will be a more detailed preview to be released in the coming days that will shed light on this intriguing episode.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" airs "Forest For The Trees" on Feb. 9 on CBS.
