The upcoming episode of the highly popular military and police procedural drama television series "NCIS: Los Angeles" will reportedly be bringing a lot of new action and heart-wrenching drama when it airs. The members of the Office of Special Projects — an undercover division of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service — are set to tackle a situation that takes them right in the middle of an international conflict involving a newly created electromagnetic weapon.

According to the latest reports, the elite team will be assigned to investigate a recent attack on a graduate student who has been developing a new electromagnetic weapon for the United States Navy. In response to the attack, the Navy has apparently tightened their security measures concerning everything that involves the new weapon.

The team investigating the attack are apparently not aware that the entire situation actually involves an international conflict and that they are putting themselves right in the middle of it all.

Aside from the action packed investigation, a part of the new episode will be focusing on Kensi Blye (played by Daniela Ruah) as she slowly recovers from her near fatal helicopter crash. The incident had apparently resulted in severe damage to her spinal cord, which even led to her being in a coma.

Fortunately, Kensi was able to wake up from her coma, but things are far from being back to normal as she apparently need to undergo daily therapy for a period of four months. Kensi will reportedly be having a hard time adjusting to her situation, but there are rumors that her injury may be a blessing in disguise as it could have a good effect on her relationship with Marty Deeks, played by Eric Christian Olsen.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 episode 8 — titled "Parallel Resistors" — was written by Joe Sachs and directed by Eric Laneuville. The upcoming episode is scheduled to air next Sunday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. EST on CBS.
