This week on "NCIS: Los Angeles," Kensi (Daniela Ruah) made a new friend in her rehabilitation facility. Meanwhile, the team investigated the threat on the life of a man who was working on a sensitive contract for the government.

A man named Yuri Volonev (Jason Karasev) was with his fellow engineering grad students at a bar on trivia night. When he buzzed in, he got electrocuted and the shock was enough to send him into a coma. The NCIS team learned that Yuri was working on a Navy contract for a railgun power supply and that someone hacked into his computer to gain access to sensitive files.

Through Yuri's daughter, Nadia (Shree Crooks), the team was able to learn more information about the victim's files. Later, Nadia was taken, and they learned that Yuri's plans were hidden in her cloud storage and it needed Nadia's iris authentication for anyone to access the files. The child faked an asthma attack so that the men would call her mother, and the call was then traced by the team to locate her whereabouts. Soon, it was revealed that the director of student affairs of Yuri's university was responsible for the hacking, and Nadia was saved by the team.

Meanwhile, Kensi was challenged by an amputee named Sullivan (Kurt Yaeger) during therapy, and while the agent was sullen with her friends, she seemed to have regained her feisty nature while verbally sparring with her new friend. Kensi told him that she's engaged, and Sullivan was able to accurately describe Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) moments before Deeks came in to confirm the traits that the man guessed about him.

Next week, in the episode titled "Glasnost," Callen's (Chris O'Donnell) father, Garrison (Daniel J. Travanti) is found in an NCIS patient's hospital room during a radiation poisoning case, and Callen must take him to a boatshed for interrogation. Elsewhere in the episode, members of the team discuss their plans for Thanksgiving.

Will Garrison be found guilty of a crime? Will Sullivan's manner help Kensi overcome her doubts and help her work harder towards recovery?

"NCIS: Los Angeles" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
