Hetty's (Linda Hunt) former colleagues are expected to help the team solve the latest case in "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8.

The synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "Battle Scars" revealed that two of Hetty's former Vietnam War colleagues Admiral AJ Chegwidden (John M. Jackson) and Admiral Sterling Bridges (James Remar) will come out of their retirement to help her and the team rescue the kidnapped Veterans Affairs administrator who was suspected of siphoning funds. The synopsis also revealed that the kidnapper happened to be the highly-decorated Navy Captain named Charles Langston.

It would be a challenge for the young members of Office of Special Projects to work with the retired veterans, who could have a different approach in handling cases.

Meanwhile, Daniela Ruah teased what fans should look forward to in season 8 finale of "NCIS: Los Angeles" in an interview with TVLine.

According to the actress who portrayed the role of Kensi in the series, viewers of the show are in for a big surprise. "Oh my gosh, people will be floored. I'm not kidding," Ruah stated.

She also said that it was something that the fans have never seen before, and it might go longer than expected, even beyond the end of season 8. "We've had edge-of-your-seat moments before, but this is a real big one — and it's not something that's going to just be resolved. It's something that's going to stick with us for the remainder of the show, until we go off the air. It's not just a Season 8 thing, it's something that's going to be present forever."

On the other hand, CBS also revealed that Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) will go rogue in the season 8 finale of "NCIS: Los Angeles." According to the network, Hanna will make sure that Tahir Khaled (Anslem Richardson) will no longer have a chance to bother his family again. This is why he had to break away from the rest of the team to fulfill his mission.

The next episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 will air on Sunday, April 23, at 8 p.m. EDT.
