Agents Pride (Scott Bakula) and LaSalle (Lucas Black) will take a trip down memory lane to the first case they worked together in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "NCIS: New Orleans."

In "Billy and the Kid," TV Guide reports that a new murder will lead the team to reopen an old case. Pride and LaSalle were tasked to investigate a homicide in the past, but it never got solved. Hurricane Katrina chose that moment to inundate New Orleans and the evidences got washed up. With the recent murder of a Marine, they will discover new clues on the things they missed with the old murder. Will Pride and LaSalle be able to close the case this time? Meanwhile, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) will also take the time off to celebrate Thanksgiving together.

Last episode, a man disappeared during one of the worst blackouts in the city. The missing person was a friend of Pride's daughter and she asked NCIS to help locate him. Petty Officer Nick Benton (Matt Cipro) was found dead after he left a message to his fiancée that all he wanted was to give her a good life. His head had been severely beaten. The NCIS made headway with the case after receiving a tip that the victim was actually involved in the blackout.

The lead showed that Nick and another man caused the power shortage to steal antique furniture from a well-off family, the Fontaines. Unfortunately, the other guy was already dead when the NCIS found him. Things got more confusing when investigation showed that the partner was not Nick's killer, which suggested that there was a third person involved. The team hit pay dirt when one of the destroyed antiques yielded love letters to the Fontaine patriarch from a woman who happened to be the mother of Nick's fiancée.

It turned out that Nick learned of the connection and approached the heir of the Fontaines to ask if his girlfriend is his stepsister. The man panicked that his inheritance would have to be divided and set out to destroy the evidence. He planned the heist on the blackout, then killed the two people who learned of what he had done.

"NCIS: New Orleans" season 2 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
