Agent Pride (Scott Bakula) will opt to take care of a traumatized child in the next episode of "NCIS: New Orleans" season 3.

In episode 8 titled "Music to My Ears," the team will handle the murder case of a petty officer and a band member of the admired United States Navy Band who was killed in her own home. But the only living witness to the crime is the victim's nine-year-old nephew, who was extremely traumatized because of the crime.

Since the kid has nowhere else to go, Agent Pride will decide to take care of the young boy, named Dustin (Zailand Adams), himself instead of leaving him in state care. This will also help the team learn more about the crime since the traumatized kid was the only one who can help them solve the case of his murdered aunt.

Based on the title and the promo image for the upcoming episode, Agent Pride will use music to help Dustin deal with the trauma.

The full synopsis for the episode reads: "After a petty officer and member of the prestigious United States Navy Band is murdered in her home, Pride takes temporary custody of the victim's nephew who is the sole witness to the crime."

However, it will take a while before the episode will air on CBS since the series will take a brief hiatus. The episode is slated to air on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Meanwhile, speculations claim that Zoe McLellan's character, Meredith Brody, may still appear in a future episode of the series after the role was unexpectedly removed from the show.

McLellan reportedly quit the series due to creative differences with the showrunners, but fans are expecting her to return in the future to give a proper closure to her character. The actress has yet to address the rumors, but she expressed her gratitude for the show's fans in a recent Instagram post.
