The renewal of "NCIS: New Orleans" for season 3 came as no surprise, since the series ended up in the sixth spot of the most watched shows on CBS. But fans are already wondering where Dwayne Cassius Pride (Scott Bakula) and his team will end up in the upcoming season.

While the network has yet to announce how they want to see the show after season 2, the producers reportedly want to accurately feature the colorful culture of New Orleans.

According to a report from ABC's WGNO, the locals appreciate how the cast and crew accommodate their fans whenever they shoot an outdoor scene in the city. The report mentioned that the cast normally spend time with their fans between filming to talk to them and accommodate their requests for pictures.

Lead star Bakula recalled one incident when fans suddenly jumped out of their car just to greet them.

"About 100 yards down the road this car just comes screeching to a halt," Bakula told the news outfit. "These two women jump out of the car and they're running back and they go, 'We love you! 'We love your show! And we're waving to say thank you! I hate your accent!' Then they drove off. Then I turned around and said, 'I'm sure she's talking about Lucas.'"

The report also mentioned that the producers would like to showcase the beautiful spots of New Orleans as much as they can. According to the report, the producers would like to utilize several locations at the Port of New Orleans in season 3 since the city is known for having one of the biggest ports in the United States.

At the moment, the network is still mum about the release date of "NCIS: New Orleans" season 3. But the series is expected to return later this year.
