'NCIS' season 12 spoilers: Delilah returns, Sean Murray talks about McGee and Delilah in episode 18

"NCIS" is pulling out all the stops to make Season 12 a great one. In the upcoming episode, actress Margo Harshman is making her return as Delilah and it will be very interesting to see the dynamic between Delilah and McGee once again.

Episode 18 is titled "Status Update" and this title might actually stem from Delilah and McGee discussing the status of their relationship or non-relationship. Delilah hasn't been a part of the show for a while now and it is surprising to know that she will be part of McGee's storyline once again. What does the writer have in store for McGee this time? The official synopsis may have dropped a big clue.

"McGee reunites with his girlfriend Delilah to investigate the death of a thief who is found dead in a marine's house. The probe reveals a clue to a terror group Delilah and the Department of Defense have been tracking from Dubai," the synopsis reads.

Elsewhere, actor Sean Murray weighs in on McGee and Delilah with Zap2it and shared a few things to look forward to.

"We haven't seen her this year, but I think we're going to see her, which is -- for me and for the for the character -- a good thing. I think people like to see McGee and Delilah together too and it's fun to do," Murray said.

Aside from McGee's love life, there are a few changes headed his way too. "One of the fun things about McGee is you always learn something new about him that's sort of strange that could be out of character for him. He comes across as a straitlaced guy at first," Murray said.

Moreover, Murray said that there are tons of twists and surprises in Season 12 and he is looking forward "to see the reaction to that one." Seeing that it's Episode 18 already, some of those surprises have definitely been revealed.

"NCIS" airs its new episode on March 24, Tuesday on CBS.
