The agents will get their feet wet, literally and figuratively, in the upcoming episode of the long-running CBS series "NCIS."

In "Decompressed," CarterMatt reports that the team will tapped to investigate the murder of a deep sea diver. One of his colleagues is the killer and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) must flush him out. Unfortunately, the body of the victim and the suspects will have to stay in a high-tech decompression chamber for several days. This will make things a little more difficult for the squad, as the investigation will have to be conducted from outside the tank.

The NCIS will have to find out why the diver was killed and who has the motive to do it. And as far as the standard operating procedure for the probe goes, the victim must also undergo an autopsy to find out exactly how he died. This is where Dr. Donald Mallard (David McCallum) comes in. It will be interesting to see the medical examiner conducting postmortem inside the dive chamber. TV Line previously released a spoiler regarding Ducky's adventure under the sea.

In episode 14, viewers can expect to see some disturbing scenes, as the doctor completes his remote autopsy in the limited space of the tank, with all the other divers on watch. This may also be beneficial, as the killer could crack under pressure after seeing his victim being cut open in front of him. But as fans have come to expect from the series, nothing comes easy for the NCIS agents.

Last episode, the NCIS worked on a case involving the resurgence of an old international human trafficking ring. Amidst the blackout that plagued the city, Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team must find out exactly how the group recovered after being exterminated several years ago. Their first clue, the frozen body of a woman was found in the trash, yielded an interesting find. She had a microchip embedded under her armpit. This was how the bad guys monitored the women's whereabouts once they were sold to buyers.

Fortunately, the NCIS discovered that the cartel was being assisted by a former National Security Agency (NSA) analyst. They managed to track down where the other women would be shipped to overseas. They also apprehended the traitor.

NCIS" season 13 episode 14 will air on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
