Tony DiNozzo's (Michael Weatherly) exit in "NCIS" is slated to happen at the end of season 13. His position will not be vacant for long, however, as the series has reportedly chosen his substitute — a hard-hitting female agent named Tess.

According to TV Line, the newest addition to Leroy Gibbs' (Mark Harmon) team will be introduced at the finale. She is in her late 30s and is as tough as nails. Tess is a special agent for the FBI who was working in New York City's Counter-Terrorism Unit before her transfer to Washington. "Quick-witted, sarcastic, shrewd," the femme fatale is said to be "two parts bulldog, one part sweet kitten."

For her co-workers, Tess is a certified "Mamma Bear." Although she has no children after three divorces, she has a fiercely protective nature and has a ready shoulder to cry on. Unfortunately for those who piss her off, she can be a barracuda, as even her superiors have been known to give her a wide berth when she is in a bad mood. Tess can also work in indefinite periods of time without rest, as long as she is supplied with her favorite martini and bacon cheeseburger.

Buddy TV has come up with names of actresses who can play the role of Tess. First on the list is Yvonne Strahovski, the blonde government agent in "Chuck." Her age, however, is slightly off from what was described, but there is no denying she will be great for the role. Next in line is Amy Acker of "Person of Interest." With the series being rumored to be ending, the actress might just jump ship and join the NCIS team.

Angie Harmon, who plays Jane Rizzoli in the series "Rizzoli & Isles," is also a good contender. Fans have been vocal in their opinion that the actress fits Tess to a T. Her tough, no nonsense personality in the TNT action-drama will jell smoothly with the NCIS gang. Other actresses in the shortlist include Eliza Dushku, Katee Sackhoff, Maggie Q, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Summer Glau.

"NCIS" season 13 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
