With the newest season of "NCIS" just looming in the horizon, four actors starring in this police procedural TV series have signed new deals for them to appear in both seasons 14 and 15.

According to Hall of Fame Magazine, these four stars are Pauley Perrette, Sean Murray, Rocky Carroll and David McCallum. The only one who didn't renew his contract was Michael Weatherly, who played Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo, with the character exiting at the end of season 13.

These contracts were signed way after Mark Harmon, the lead actor who portrays Jethro Gibbs, signed his two-year contract in February 2016. With this, the show has received another two years' worth of renewal, with majority of its core cast staying over for at least the same amount of time.

Earlier, it has been discussed that Wilmer Valderrama is going to join the 14th season of this show, and he's intended to fill Weatherly's spot as one of the regulars. Despite this, Valderrama will portray a different character compared to Weatherly's DiNozzo. The former is going to play a charismatic yet unpredictable former secret agent, in its most basic sense.

As for its plot, "NCIS" season 14 might reveal Ziva David's (Cote de Pablo) fate. After all, there are not many details about what happened to her, so it could be possible that there will be some flashbacks involving her and Trent Kort (David Dayan Fisher) throughout the new season. In a Deadline interview, Gary Glasberg, "NCIS" showrunner, said that it's not rare for shows to leave several unanswered questions and that his show will certainly revisit a lot of things in a variety of ways.

With this, the possibility of the two aforementioned characters might be seen in the upcoming season. Regardless, the way these characters will be accommodated in season 14 will be interesting to watch. After all, it's the show's aura of mystery and lightness that made it popular, so it's only natural for Glasberg to keep directing the show with that in mind.
