'NCIS' season 14 spoilers, cast rumors: premiere episode features Wilmer Valderrama and Jennifer Esposito

The new season of "NCIS" will not have Tony DiNozzo, but nevertheless fans are still excited to see how the new agents mesh together with the veteran members of the team.

As fans can remember, the last season ended on a sad yet hopeful note. After all, Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), a former team member, was killed offscreen. It was then revealed that she had a daughter with Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly). While her death was eventually avenged by the team, it seems that DiNozzo have more important things to do now: to raise his daughter Tali as a single father.

As such, according to the Ecumenical News, the show was left with a large void to fill, with some fans anxiously wondering how the three new members will work out. However, it will not be long now until fans see how it goes, as it is reported that two of the three new members will debut by the new season's premiere episode.

TV Line states that the new season's first episode will feature the team investigating a car explosion, which is connected to the NCIS Special Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama). The case meets more complications as it was revealed that this special agent has disappeared half a year ago while working undercover. As such, Gibbs's (Mark Harmon) team will ask Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) to shadow them. This other special agent is apparently making an appearance due to the fact that Gibbs rejected eight agents she referred to him as replacements for DiNozzo.

Additionally, the third new member of the NCIS team will be ex-MI6 agent Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry), who is expected to appear by the fifth episode or later.

The 14th season of "NCIS" will be aired on Sept. 20 at CBS.
