In the next episode of "NCIS," Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) is pushed to the limits when he goes undercover with his Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham).

The trailer and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "High Tide," were just released recently, and they show Torres telling his partner Bishop, "When you go undercover, things move fast." However, it seems like he has disobeyed a direct order and is now in hot water.

Director Leon Vance looks at him sternly but the defiant agent replies, "I made a choice." Apparently, he and Bishop were in a sting operation to track illegal drug-running in a Norfolk civilian marina. However, the stakeout went sideways which led Torres to do something that he thought was the best decision at the time. The result of his decision likely caused some loss of life.

Torres seems apologetic but continues to tell his colleagues, "You are forced to do things that you do not want to do." It remains to be seen what he did that caused Vance to reprimand him for his actions. Moreover, fans will have to wait for the full episode to see how Torres will make the situation right. In the meantime, it looks like Bishop may be getting a bit close to Torres. At a department store, she leans over the counter to kiss a confused Torres. She tells him, "This kind of undercover work can be such a rush."

In the last episode, Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the team solved the murder of a casino hustler who returned the money he won illegally. His partner was so angry with him that he pushed him down the stairs. He died upon hitting his head on the ground. The killer was brought to justice eventually.

"NCIS" season 15 episode 11 will hit the airwaves on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
