A new face joins the team and another case has them on their feet in the upcoming episode of "NCIS" season 15. The upcoming episode will mark the debut of Maria Bello's character on the show.

The fourth episode, titled "Skeleton Crew" reveals that Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) will be welcoming Agent Jacqueline "Jack" Sloane, played by Bello, who is a forensic psychologist that he got to transfer to the team's headquarters from California. Bello's Jack Sloane will be filling the spot left by Quinn, played by Jennifer Esposito.

Showrunner Frank Cardea revealed more details about Bello's character to TV Line. Jacqueline Sloane is described as a gun-carrying, badge-carrying agent, and has done so for a decade. Cardea went on to tease that when she first meets Gibbs (Mark Harmon), it is quite a surprising reveal, and that she plays a little trick on him before they meet.

The promo alone suggested that Gibbs may have met his match this time around with her. This is especially so because Sloane does not report to "Boss," but to "Director Vance." Fans should expect Gibbs and Sloane to butt heads, because why not? Gibbs will be up against someone who is not going to be swayed very easily, so fans should also expect to see some fun situations for these two.

At the same time, a storm has seemingly shut down Washington, D.C and cut off the power in the process. The team have a case on their hands as they investigate the kidnapping of a sailor. This leads Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Bishop (Emily Wickersham) out to sea to gather some evidence.

Despite the addition of a new agent to the team, the synopsis perhaps serves as something to remind everyone that they still have work to do. Yet, having Sloane among the team will present a lot of opportunities as well as challenges that everyone will have to face.

"NCIS" season 15 will air on Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
