It's time for gamers to buckle their seatbelts and hold on to their seats because a popular racing game is speeding toward its launch next year.  "Need For Speed" is coming to mobile devices in 2015 as EA announced the release of the game app "Need For Speed: No Limits" to iOS and Android.

The game publisher has not yet revealed the exact release date of the new app.  Nonetheless, there are reports stating that the game is currently under development by studio Firemonkeys, which is also the developer behind the popular "Real Racing 3" in iOS and Android. The information about "Need For Speed: No Limits" is still scarce, but Firemonkeys Executive Producer Robert Huebner confirmed that more details are expected to be out in the open in the coming weeks and months pertaining to the characters, cars and customizations.

"We've built No Limits from the ground up to deliver the insanely-fast driving and incredible graphics that fans have come to expect from Need for Speed — all in the palm of your hand. We're constantly amazed by the power and performance we're able to get out of the latest phones and tablets and think you will be too," Huebner described the racing game in a post.

EA has released a teaser trailer for the new NFS mobile gaming app featuring pro rally driver Ken Block. It is still unconfirmed whether the "Need For Speed: No Limits" mobile gaming app can be downloaded for free like "Real Racing 3" or if it has to be purchased.

Meanwhile, there is no word yet on the next console and PC versions of the "Need For Speed" franchise. Thus, the mobile app will be released ahead of the console and PC versions of the game.

"Need for Speed" holds the record of being the most successful racing video game franchise of all time. The different versions of NFS involve racing a car, and the game promises nothing less than a continuous surge of adrenaline. Player can choose and customize their own cars to be used in the races and tournaments, and they must win the races to unlock new vehicles and tracks.
