Racing fans who are waiting for another "Need for Speed" title are in for a surprise, as developer Ghost Games has revealed that the reboot title will have a huge presence in the upcoming Gamescom event this week.

According to the announcement on the official "Need for Speed" website, event participants will have a chance to experience the upcoming title first-hand, as there will be a playable demo that focuses on full vehicle customization before setting out into Ventura Bay, the title's version of Los Angeles. Players can select from five vehicles in the garage, customize them to player specifications, and drive out. The city will then be teeming with a host of events; the player will also have the chance to just drive around in the fictionalized city streets in free roaming mode.

The post also included the gameplay modes that players will have access to, saying: "Dive deep into the Five Ways to Play - Speed, Style, Build, Crew, and Outlaw. Combining all five to create that perfect Need for Speed moment; driving insanely fast, sliding through a corner in your customized ride alongside your friends, whilst being chased by the cops."

Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Ghost Games will also be on the lookout for the best customized car in the event, with the coolest ones getting their share of airtime.

The post added, "We'll be capturing snapshots of all the cars that get created so you may want to do your best in terms of aesthetics, we will be watching and uploading some of our favourites to the website once Gamescom draws to a close."

The reboot for "Need for Speed" was first mentioned early this year, with a full trailer reveal showcased to fans the Electronic Entertainment Expo event last June. The title is scheduled for a Nov. 3 release.
