Only a few more days before Thanksgiving and people are already planning on what television shows and movies to watch during the holiday. There have been several lists posted online to help people in deciding what to watch after stuffing their stomachs with turkey on Nov. 23.

People can also choose from a variety of television series and click on the respective Thanksgiving episodes of each season. For example, viewers can never go wrong with the classic television series "Friends." Another sitcom with consistent Thanksgiving episodes per season is FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."

Unfortunately, 10 days before Thanksgiving, the sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" was taken off of Netflix. The show also aired a number of highly rated Thanksgiving episodes.

Teen Vogue highly recommends Netflix's original series "The Crown" for binge-watching after Thanksgiving dinner. Netflix subscribers can also watch the full season of Marvel's newest series "The Punisher."

On Nov. 23, Netflix will also be uploading the first 10 episodes of their newest original series "She's Gotta Have It." The series is a television adaptation of the classic comedy movie of the same name released in 1986.

People also have the choice to binge-watch season 2 of "Stranger Things."

The selection of movies includes comedies, romantic flicks, holiday movies, dramas, animated films and more.

Among the top movie recommendations are "Trading Places," "Good Burger," "Miracle on 34th Street," "Paddington," "Hairspray" and more. According to Refinery29, the musical romantic comedy film "Grease" tops the list as it would be exciting to do a little singing and dancing after a satisfying meal.

The 1984 comedy horror movie "Gremlins" is also a must watch according to regular viewers and film critics. Academy Award-winning movie "Forrest Gump" starring Tom Hanks is also an all-time favorite for many people. Netflix subscribers can watch the movie over and over again.

Most of the movies recommended are released from the 1990s up to the early 2000s. Disney animated movies like "Moana" and "Zootopia" are also included in some people's Thanksgiving movie lists.
