Netflix shows and movies for January 2018

With 2018 already upon us, streaming giant Netflix is looking to offer new shows and movies for the month of January. Fortunately for Netflix's loyal clientele, they can be excited about the new Netflix original series that will be airing this month. 

As for the series, the British romance-drama series "Lovesick" will be available with its third season from the get-go, as well as the psychological-thriller "Glace" season 1. "Devilman Crybaby," which is a new series, will be available on Jan. 5. "Devilman Crybaby" is a story about possession, wherein a demon takes over the corpse of a young boy, but ends up falling in love with a girl; hence, is urged to change for the better. 

"Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency," which is a Netflix original, will be returning with its second season starting Jan. 5 as well. The show "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," which stars comedian Jerry Seinfeld can be viewed by audiences starting Jan. 5. 

By mid January, the drama show "Rita" will be returning with its fourth season on Jan. 16, with "Van Helsing" season 2 three days later. "Drug Lords" is another new series that will be aired on Jan. 19, which focuses on some of the most notorious drug traffickers and kingpins in history. 

Meanwhile, "Star Trek: Discovery" will air once more on Netflix starting Jan. 8, with new episodes on a weekly basis. Trekkies will then be able to once again follow the crew of the USS Discovery, as well as the ongoing plot of the space saga. "Riverdale" will be coming back with the second half of season 2 on Jan. 18 after a tension-filled cliffhanger of its midseason ender. 

Netflix will be granting its audiences a chance to watch one of the greatest films of all time, "The Godfather," which will be available starting Jan. 1. The psychological-thriller "The Belko Experiment" will be released on Jan. 18.
