The Netherlands will look to continue their excellent form by knocking out Mexico from the World Cup on Sunday as they play off in their Last 16 round match up.

Saturday saw some dramatic football from Brazil as the Last 16 got underway.

Hosts Brazil survived a big scare as they defeated Chile on penalties. In that game, Chile gave as good as they got, and could even have scored in the final minutes of extra time but hit the woodwork.

However, a scrappy penalty shootout saw five penalties in total missed, with Brazil finally emerging as 3-2 winners on penalties.

They will play Colombia, after they defeated Uruguay 2-0 in the second game on Saturday. Colombia continued their amazing form, and their reward is to enter the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time in their history. They will have a massive challenge awaiting them though – playing Brazil in Brazil is as difficult as they come, but with the way Colombia are playing, they will likely provide a stiff challenge for the host nation.

In today's first game, Holland will play Mexico in a mouthwatering matchup between the competition's hottest attack, and the tournament's best defense so far. The Netherlands have scored 10 goals already across their three group games, where as Mexico have conceded just the one goal in their three games. Something must give today though, and it will be intriguing to see who comes out on top.
