Video game developers BeamDog is set to remake another "Dungeons & Dragons" ("D&D") role-playing game (RPG). After more than a decade, the epic adventure "Neverwinter Nights" ("NWN") will be getting an Enhanced Edition remake.

True to the D&D spirit, the Enhanced Edition will have all the bells and whistles that the original had. In addition, BeamDog's remake will have features found in most modern games, including 4K resolution support, pixel shader support, and post-processing effects.

The original campaign (OC) will be available for play. Long-time fans will be pleased to learn that the expansions, "Shadows of Undrentide" and the "Hordes of the Underdark," will be included in the Enhanced Edition as well.

Set in the Forgotten Realms, The NWN OC will put the player in control of the hero of Neverwinter. The story will mostly focus on the character's quest to find a cure for a plague that brought the eponymous city to its knees.

"Shadows of Undrentide" will feature a different protagonist — a student that witnesses the murder of his master at the hands of kobolds. The story will mostly focus on the student's investigation of his master's murder.

Meanwhile, "Hordes of the Underdark" will pit the player character against the horrors of the Underdark.

This is not the first time that BeamDog resurrected classic D&D titles. The video game developer has already made a remake of "Baldur's Gate" and "Baldur's Gate 2," as well as their respective expansions "Tales of the Sword Coast" and "Throne of Baal." They have also recently released an Enhanced Edition for the critically-acclaimed RPG "Planescape: Torment."

The official site for the remake already accepts pre-orders, and doing so will give gamers access to an early build of the game. The official release date of the game remains unsettled, but when it does hit the market, gamers can purchase the game for $19.99.
