Game developer Bungie confirmed that tweaks and updates are bound to arrive this week ahead of the release of "The Dark Below" DLC.

According to the developer, it will roll out improvements such as new shaders, purchase previews, increased odds for public events, and other technical fixes that will ensure that the gameplay of the player will be smooth. The updates will arrive in some "large files", although the developer did not confirm how large the update will be.

Meanwhile, game publisher Activision confirmed that the sequel for the successful game "Destiny" is already in the works. Immediately after its release, "Destiny" topped the charts and became one of the most successful games to come out in PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360. Moreover, the number of players playing the game is growing day by day with the upcoming release of the expansion pack.

During a post-earnings financial call last Nov. 4, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg announced that the development of the next "Destiny" game has started.

"Work has also begun on future expansion packs, as well as on our next full game release," Hirshberg said.

This news is not surprising as Activision Publishing already decided to run the "Destiny" franchise for 10 years. Moreover, the contract between Activision and game developer Bungie entails multiple sequels for the game.

Activision did not spill further details of the release of the game's sequel as well as its features. However, Activision teased that "Bungie has a Lord of the Rings-sized narrative in mind for Destiny."

Bungie and Activision is set to release the first of the two expansion packs of the current "Destiny" game soon. "The Dark Below" expansion pack is bound to arrive to users on Dec. 9.

The latest DLC packed new content to keep gamers interested in playing the game and buying the expansion packs.

The "Dark Below" expansion pack costs $19.99. The new DLC will also be available as part of the Destiny Expansion Pass that costs $34.99 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. "Destiny" is reported to have another DLC coming early next year dubbed as "House of Wolves". However, the game developer and publisher have not revealed the official release date of the second DLC.
