New Discipleship Explored resource filmed by award-winning director across 7 continents

A new version of Discipleship Explored, a resource from Christianity Explored Ministries, is to be launched in March on the tenth anniversary of the first edition.

Focusing on Paul's Letter to the Philippians, the eight-part video series has been shot in seven countries across five different continents and is accompanied by handbooks designed for group or individual use. The first episode can be viewed here

Barry Cooper presents Discipleship Explored.

The videos are presented by Barry Cooper, who said: 'One of the most significant changes we've made is to incorporate interview footage and real life stories from around the world.

'Our focus is still on Paul's Letter to the Philippians, but we get to see how that letter impacts believers internationally, including those who are being persecuted. Seeing the joy of these men and women is compelling, contagious, and often very moving.'

The films are directed by Stephen McCaskell, who also directed of the multi-award-winning Luther: The Life and Legacy of the German Reformer. Set on location in Greece, Serbia, Jordan, Rwanda, India, Peru and the United States, the series features striking cinematography and an evocative soundtrack. The handbooks contain 'model' prayers enabling believers to learn prayer from the Apostle Paul, while daily activity plans help develop the habit of Scripture reading, memorisation and prayer.

Discipleship Explored is the third in a trilogy of resources, joining Christianity Explored – an evangelistic series that has so far been used in 100 countries, and translated into 50 languages – and the acclaimed new series Life Explored.
