After the New England Patriots and star player Tom Brady decided that they will no longer contest the court order of suspending the quarterback for the first four weeks of the upcoming season, speculations claim that coach Bill Belichick might have to find a savior in Ryan Fitzpatrick.

New York Post reported that getting Fitzpatrick in their roster will be beneficial for the team. His current stats that averages 31 touchdowns, 15 interceptions, 88.0 RTG rating for an average of 3,905 yards per game could really help the Patriots step up from their opponents while Brady is serving his suspension.

But Fitzpatrick is still under negotiations with his current team, the New York Jets. Yet it seems like both camps are still unwilling to bulge from the demands on the next contract. The Jets laid out a three-year deal worth $24 million dollars for the veteran quarterback, with $12 million handed out on his first year. But Fitzpatrick already refused, noting that he is already worth more than that.

If the Patriots will take advantage of the possible falling out of the deal between Fitzpatrick and the Jets, they could get him to play for them while Brady's suspension is still in effect.

Brady and the team opted not to contest the court's decision to suspend him for his reported involvement in the tampering scandal that happened during the 2015 AFC Championship Game. The scandal, which is commonly referred to as the Deflategate, was moved to the federal court for an appeal after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Brady for four games.

The Patriots' chairman and CEO Robert Kraft expressed his disappointment at the decision in a statement from the team's official website, saying: "This entire process has indelibly taken a toll on our organization, our fans and most importantly, Tom Brady. His reluctant decision to stop pursuing further action and to put this situation behind him is what he feels is best for the team in preparation for this season and is fully supported by me and our entire organization."

But while Brady is still out from the field and the possible deal with Fitzpatrick has yet to be inked, the Patriots must rely on Jimmy Garoppolo to serve as the team's quarterback at the start of the season.
