Even though the Patriots come into today's game on 8-0 and will be massive favorites to make that 9-0, recent history tells us that this one might not be so clear cut or straight forward.

Eli Manning and the Giants have claimed the last three games against the New England Patriots - including two Super Bowl wins.

However, whether recent history will mean anything remains to be seen. The Patriots are one of just three teams with perfect records still heading into Week 10, and the Giants have looked far from their best this season so far.

Tom Brady leads the NFL with 22 touchdowns passes to date this season, and the Patriots have a league high 34.5 points per game and 31 touchdowns. Couple that with the fact that the Giants' defense has allowed a league worst 429.4 yards per game, and this one looks like it could be a long day for New York.

Earlier this week the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets faced off on Thursday Night Football in a massive game between two teams with hopeful ambitions of making the Playoffs this season.

Buffalo look to be righting the ship after a tough time recently, and they came away with a confidence boosting 22-17 win.

The Bills defense was in excellent form, shutting down Ryan's former team for a lot of the game, which gave their offense the opportunity to get them over the line.

Rookie Karlos Williams managed a 26 yard touchdown catch, and Duke Williams returned a fumbled kick off 19 yards for the go-ahead points.

The win helped the 5-4 Bills move up into the Wild Card Playoff picture, and set alarm bells ringing in New York. The Jets fall to 5-4 but worryingly have lost three of their last four games now to undermine a lot of the good work they achieved earlier in the season.

Fans will remember that Ryan was fired by the Jets after his six seasons in New York last January, and the win on his return will have been a sweet one. His Bills' defense managed to stop the Jets inside the Buffalo 10 in the final minutes and that was enough to hold off the late push by the Jets.
