A new entry to the "FlatOut" franchise is scheduled to come out for the PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

The new game is set to feature the familiar destruction-centric gameplay fans have come to expect from the franchise, but some changes may be in store as well.

According to Gamespot, the newest "FlatOut" game will be developed by the Paris-based company, Kylotonn. It is the same gaming company behind other driving-based titles such as "Motorcycle Club" and "Truck Racer."

The game's publisher, Strategy First, said it chose to partner up with Kylotonn mainly because of the company's previous experience in developing similar titles.

Strategy First is also clarifying that it is dedicated to making sure the newest "FlatOut" game will be everything that fans could have ever hoped for. The game's publisher has already said "FlatOut" was by far their most important franchise, and added that the new game will be a multi-million dollar investment, according to Eurogamer.

As for how the game might ultimately turns out, Strategy First is making some bold proclamations. The game's publisher said the new "FlatOut" game would be "the most ambitious title in the franchise's history." As part of both the game's publisher and developer's efforts to make the newest game as good as it can possibly be, it is already asking input from fans that can be potentially used for the game.

Kylotonn said it planned to provide players with some new experiences after picking up their controllers. The most recent game from the franchise, "FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction" was released to less than stellar reviews in 2011, and now, all parties involved are faced with the task of trying to dig themselves out of that hole.

Strategy First and Kylotonn are still keeping more specific details about the game under lock and key.
