Those who still remember the fun and relaxing "Harvest Moon" series of titles, which started way back in 1996, is in for a treat – a new title will come out this year.

According to the tweet and press release by developer and publisher Natsume, Inc., the new game titled "Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories" will be out this coming winter for Android devices. The title will also be released for the iOS, Wii U, and PC platforms.

In releasing the new title, Natsume hopes to bring players back to the old-school, relaxing gameplay of the previous "Harvest Moon" games.

Hiro Maekawa, president and CEO of Natsume Inc. said, "From the farm to the town, we wanted Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories to evoke the feeling of a classic Harvest Moon game with modern twists!"

This will also be the first time that a "Harvest Moon" title will have a full release on mobile platforms, and Natsume did it due to the numerous requests from fans of the series.

Maekawa added, "We're also excited to finally bring the Harvest Moon series to the Nintendo Wii U, PC, and mobile platforms, where fans have definitely told us they want to see the series."

"Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories" will have the old-school gameplay of the very first titles in the series, where players are given a farm in a village. The players then need to keep the farm in shipshape form, and garner income by planting crops and taking care of different livestock. Aside from farming, the players' characters must also befriend the village people by giving gifts and doing favors, participate in festivals, explore the nearby areas to check out the best fishing and mining spots, and collect the seeds of memories.

"Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories" doesn't have any definite release dates yet, but Natsume said that the title will come out before the year ends.
