Tech manufacturer HTC is ramping up its global market. After releasing new versions of its flagship HTC One in Asia, the company is now setting its sights on strengthening its western markets. Just this week, the company has come out with four new variants of its mid-range Desire products for its U.S. audience.

The four new HTC Desire versions are touted as a combination of high-end specs and mid-range prices. According to Jason Mackenzie, president of HTC America, the new smartphones will bring high-end looks and feel to a wider audience with its competitive prices.

"At HTC, we don't think you should have to sacrifice or settle if you are looking for an affordable smartphone. That is why we are bringing the absolute best affordable smartphones to market with the HTC Desire lineup," Mackenzie said. "Our Desire smartphones bring the premium experiences, performance and style of our flagship smartphone at an incredible price."

In terms of design, the four new variants come in three sizes and offer stylish looks and premium feel. The smallest of the four, the Desire 520, has a 4.5-inch display with 854 x 480 resolution and comes in Steel Gray. Meanwhile, the 4.7-inch Desire 526 comes in Stealth Black, and the larger 626 and 626s have 5-inch 720p displays and come in various colors like Marine White, White Birch, and Blue Lagoon.

The most noted features of these four new Desires, aside from their affordable prices, are the LTE connectivity and quad-core processors. The new phones also come with the company's proprietary Zoe app, which helps HTC smartphone owners organize and manage their media files like images, videos, and music tracks.

The new HTC Desire lineup will be made available for several U.S. mobile carriers, including the four major ones – T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and Sprint.
