New Initiative Launched to Promote the Great Christian Mission Revivals

A British Christian reality TV presenter is preparing to launch a new initiative to promote education on some of the most historical revivals in history.

"Some of the greatest revivals in church history took place in Britain, yet tragically, many believers know little about the great Christian awakenings, in the UK and abroad," a press release from ByFaith Media has stated.

Behind the drive, Mathew Backholer of ByFaith said, "To truly understand what revival is, we need to learn from the revivalists themselves - like John Wesley, Charles Finney, Evan Roberts, J. Edwin Orr, Duncan Campbell and others as they describe their experiences and explain what genuine revival is."

Backholer is recognisable from his role in Europe's first Christian reality TV series - ByFaith TV which appeared on UCB, and is also set to be streamed on Christian Today as a series beginning later in October.

|QUOTE|However, for the last couple of years Backholer has switched his focus and has been researching revivals and visiting sites of past revivals. He has compiled his research into an easy to read book called, 'Revival Fires and Awakenings - Thirty Moves of the Holy Spirit'.

Spanning four centuries, the book features the accounts of 30 revivals, from six continents, in 19 countries, so that Christians can gain the blessing of these revivalists' knowledge and experiences, without having to spend years trying to research the facts for themselves.

Backholer wants to inspire readers with factual accounts of God's reviving power and to encourage them with the stories of spiritual events. He also promotes the book as a call to prayer, holiness and intercession for revival.
