Nexus 5 2015 release rumors: New LG Nexus image surfaces

Earlier this year, rumors in regards to Google's next Nexus devices have surfaced, providing a glimpse of both phones in terms of the specifications and features.

This time, according to a recent report by The Verge, a new image has been leaked, first appearing on the Nexus Indonesia Google+ community page. The report adds that this image shows a white Nexus handset on its back with what appears to be an LG logo.

The leaked image also reveals that there's also a camera lens on top of the phone with circles underneath, which could be the fingerprint scanner. The Verge said that the image looks similar to renders of the rumored LG Nexus.

In terms of the specs, earlier rumors said the LG Nexus is expected to sport a 5.2-inch display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. Inside, it is anticipated to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor, 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB internal memory storage. Uber Gizmo reported earlier that there will be a 3,180 mAh battery under its hood as well.

According to Techno Buffalo, the LG Nexus will support USB Type-C port connection and will have a fingerprint reader as well. Earlier this month, Android Headlines reported that the LG Nexus device could cost around US$300 to US$400.

As for the operating system, Techno Buffalo reported that both LG Nexus and Huawei Nexus will run on Google's latest Android M OS, which is now known as the "Android Marshmallow." This will definitely add more software features to the phones.

In comparison with the other upcoming Nexus device, the Huawei Nexus is expected to sport a larger 5.7-inch display screen with a higher 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. The Huawei Nexus phone is anticipated to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and possibly a fingerprint reader as well.
