New Moto X specs, features and price: Perfect balance of design and function

Motorola just announced the refreshed version of its flagship smartphone – Moto X.

While the company was showing off the latest version of Moto X at the recent IFA 2014 trade show, it made sure to put emphasis on the design of the smartphone. At the same time, the tech company did not leave out the specs and features.

The handset comes with a curved metal frame and a body made out of materials such as bamboo wood and leather. Below are the specs and features of the new Moto X (2014).

Screen display - The new Moto X will pack a slightly larger screen display of 5.2 inches with Full HD resolution that promises clearer and sharper pictures.

Processor -The Motorola handset is powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a decent RAM in boot. The smartphone also include a graphics chipset Adreno 330.

Internal storage - Moto X's successor is available in 16GB and 32GB internal storages variants. Unfortunately, the smartphone skipped the microSD slot for additional storage.

Operating System - The smartphone runs with the latest 4.4.4 version of Kitkat OS since Android L mobile software is not yet announced. However, rest assured that the handset will be updated on the said operating system once it was out.

Camera - The new Moto X sports a 13 MP back camera with 4K video capture paired with 2 MP front-facing camera. It also comes with a new feature named Best Shot.

Battery - The handset comes with a mediocre 2,300 mAh battery capacity.

The new Moto X (2014) release date is next month. In the US, consumers can get hold of the 16GB variant on Motorola's online store for only $99 with two-year contract from your chosen carrier or $499 off contract. The 32GB variant, on the other hand, will be launched online through the Moto Maker.
