A new handheld console is in town. Nintendo 3DS XL will finally come alight in the U.S. and in Europe on Feb. 13. Japan and New Zealand already saw the new gaming device in the flesh back in November and the company is bringing the brand new handset to more regions of the world.

According to Game Rant, Nintendo 3DS XL comes with a C-Stick and "ZR" and "ZL" shoulder buttons. The site said that this brings "extra options" to players of "Super Smash Bros." and "Resident Evil: Revelations," a given benefit. The C-Stick, in particular, will also work perfectly with the upcoming titles "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D" and "Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate."

The spanking new Nintendo offering is much more superior to its original version and it owes its power to a potent CPU, which Tech Times believes should be able to support games with power-hungry graphics and gameplay. Game Rant assures that load and download times would not take long with the improved microprocessor under its hood. This will also allow a host of new games to land on the device, including "Xenoblade Chronicles 3D," which will reach the system on April 2.

The Nintendo 3DS XL has an eye-popping 3D replication technology. By tracking the face of the players using the handheld, gamers could get a load of 3D in almost every angle while playing their favorite titles. This will make games more fun and multi-faceted.

Apart from that, Near Field Communication was integrated as well. This feature makes the amiibo action figures not so Wii U-exclusive by allowing players to scan and add them to games that support the toys-to-life development by Nintendo. The first one to shore up the feature, according to Game Rant, is the "Super Smash Bros," which will then be followed by "Code Name: S.T.E.A.M."

There is also another model, which is simply called Nintendo 3Ds. This system, which comes with swappable faceplates for customization, is much smaller than the 3Ds XL. Unfortunately, fans and gamers in North America and even in Europe who want to own one are in for bad news as Nintendo is not bringing the handheld to those areas, at least for now.

At the moment, the 3DS XL is the one to wait for. According to Cape Cod Online, Nintendo 3DS XL will be sold for $199.
