Gamers can have a closer look at Lara Croft's latest adventures via a new cinematic trailer for "Rise of the Tomb Raider." Crystal Dynamics unveiled the teaser for the soon-to-be released action-adventure sequel to the 2013 "Tomb Raider" reboot on June 1.

The 1-minute 45-second trailer features Lara's voice as she speaks about discovering the secrets of the world, saying, "What drives these few to the ends of the Earth? The desire to discover something more, the search for something greater ..."

It shows Lara traversing the wilderness alone, climbing snowy mountainsides, withstanding the freezing temperatures, overcoming dangers, because she says, "For some, discovering the secrets of the world is the only way to live."

The trailer ends with the invitation from Microsoft for fans to watch the game's world premiere during its Xbox E3 Briefing on June 15.

The first cinematic trailer for the game was first released during the broadcast of Miss Teen USA 2014 beauty pageant just hours after Microsoft announced the game's development during their press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo on the same date.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" reportedly focuses on Lara Croft's adventures in the city of Kitezh, located in a discrete location somewhere in Siberia. Myths claim that the city is holding the secret to make a person immortal. Lara will be joined by Jonah Maiava during her search for the ancient city. But their journey will not be easy, since they will have to face human villains, animals, as well as the harsh environment to be able to reach their destination.

According to early reports, the game will launch a new enhanced weather system that can affect Lara, other humans, as well as the animals in the game's universe.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" is being offered as a timed exclusive title for Microsoft's Xbox platform, which means that the game will be released exclusively for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles for a while. A PlayStation console version is expected to come at a later time.
