Samsung Gear S2 and Samsung Gear S2 Classic

The South Korean consumer electronics giant unveiled two new variants of the latest smartwatch line. The Samsung Gear S2 Classic is expected to appeal to the more mature crowd because of its chic, business-appropriate design made with a black stainless steel body with glossy finish complete with genuine leather straps. The Samsung Gear S2, on the other hand, looks more casual because of its interchangeable silicone band that comes with a proprietary connector.

The Gear 2 Classic measures 39.9 × 43.6 × 11.4 mm and weighs 42 grams. The buffer Gear S2 measures 42.3 × 49.8 × 11.4mm if the model does not come with a built-in 3G network connectivity, while the one with the 3G option measures 44.0 x 51.8 x 13.4mm and weighs 51 grams.

Both devices use Samsung's own Tizen OS operating system.

TomTom Spark

Those who want to use their wearable devices for storing music or for tracking their fitness efforts should check out TomTom's latest line of smartwatches with built-in GPS and other fitness apps. The Dutch consumer electronics company offers three new devices.

The first one is called the TomTom Spark Music that comes with 3 GB of built-in storage space that is capable of storing up to 500 songs for the music-lovers. The second, the Spark Cardio, comes with a heart rate monitor to track the user's physical activities. For those who want both features, there is the third option: the Spark Cardio + Music model.

Sony Wena

Style meets function in the new product from Sony which may be considered as a semi-smartwatch since it does not have a built-in operating system. But it still comes with more functions compared to a typical wristwatch since all its smarts comes from its straps. The device can provide notifications as well as NFC for mobile payments by sending vibration and LEDs signals. The device, which was initially revealed through the company's First Flight crowdfunding, will only be released in Japan at the moment.
