The new Sony Xperia Z4 concept image enters the phablet category as it packs a 5.7-inch screen display.

The latest render of Sony Xperia Z4 was created by Giztimes and boasts a much larger screen compared to the 5-inch screen panel of the current Xperia Z3. The handset also packs a metal casing combined with glass. The handset's profile is slightly narrower and has slimmer bezels than the previous Xperia smartphones.

The Sony Xperia Z4 concept image sports a sleek and elegant design. Under the hood, the handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM. The device will most likely run with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS that will give rise to new software features.

The imagined device comes in 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants. At the back, it packs a 24-megapixel rear camera and a 3 MP front-facing camera. Other features that will most likely appear in the handset are fingerprint sensor, water-resistance, and dustproof features.

The Sony Xperia Z4 release date is speculated to happen in March after the device is introduced at the Mobile World Congress, which will take place from March 2 to 5, 2015 — that is, if the Japanese company will remain consistent with its previous releases.

Sony refreshes the Xperia Z line every six months, but the manufacturer is reportedly considering trimming down its releases to one smartphone every year.  Android Origin's "trusted sources" said that the company will let go of its strategy as it just saturates the market.  Updating the smartphone line less frequently will build up the anticipation of the buyers.

However, Sony has yet to confirm the rumors about the fourth generation of the Sony Xperia handset.
