The New York Giants and the New Orleans Saints will clash in a massive game in Week 2 of the NFL 2016 regular season. The Giants will be hoping to build on their opening game victory today as they return to New York for their home opener today. The game has a scheduled start time of 1 p.m. ET and takes place from the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. In Week 1 the Giants claimed a tight win against rivals the Dallas Cowboys at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington. New York were trailing heading into the fourth quarter, but they were able to turn things around and ended the game with their noses just in front to claim a 20-19 victory.

Meanwhile the Saints suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Oakland Raiders. With an 11 point lead heading into the final quarter, the home fans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome were getting ready to celebrate. However, the Raiders piled on 22 points in the final quarter to steal the win 35-34.

That loss for the Saints will have been a huge disappointment, especially for quarterback Drew Brees, who managed to throw four touchdowns for 423 yards.

Last season this match-up between the Giants and Saints was one of the games of the season with more than 100 points scored by the teams. Eli Manning threw six touchdowns for 350 yards, where as Drew Brees threw seven touchdowns for 505 yards as the game ended 52-49, after Brees won the game on the final possession.

Earlier this week on Thursday Night Football the New York Jets achieved their first win of the season as they defeated their in-state rivals, the Buffalo Bills 37-31.

The Jets had opened up their season with a disappointing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, where they looked like they were still in pre-season. However, the Jets woke up on Thursday night, and put on a much more explosive display.

Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick completed an impressive 24 of 34 passes for 374 yards as he took apart the Bills' secondary with the help of wide receivers Eric Decker, Brandon Marshall and Quincy Enunwa.

Decker put on a stellar performance with six catches and a touchdown, and moved to 18 straight games recording at least 80 receiving yards or a touchdown.

Marshall meanwhile also had a fantastic game, recording six catches for 101 yards. He did give the Jets a scare in the second quarter when he went down with a knee injury. Marshall made a 15 yard reception but went down under Bills cornerback Stephon Gilmore. Marshall was down on the field for several minutes.

Marshall said after the game: "I thought I was done. I thought I was going to be finishing in my backyard in Florida."

However, even though he departed the field with the help of trainers, he returned to the game and continued to tease the Bills' defense.

Fitzpatrick later said, "Brandon is one of the tougher guys you'll ever see. They were looking at his knee, and I didn't think it was good. To see him on the ground in pain, I knew something was wrong. But then, when he stepped back in the huddle later on, it was a big surprise, but relief as well."

Tyrod Taylor tried to get the Bills offense going, and completed 18 of 30 for 297 yards and three touchdowns, however, Buffalo were just too inconsistent throughout the night and lacked efficiency in their play.
