The New York Jets did more than lose their second consecutive against the Houston Texans Sunday, two of their players were also hurt as cornerback Darrelle Revis sustained a concussion while center Nick Mangold suffered a laceration on his right hand.

In a report by ESPN, Revis suffered the injury while tackling Texans running back Akeem Hunt, and following the collision walked slowly to the locker room where he was evaluated.

"Anytime a person gets a concussion you're kind of pessimistic about him the next week. Some people recover faster than others. We'll just have to wait and see," Jets head coach Todd Bowles said regarding Revis' condition, according to ESPN.

Revis will have to undergo the National Football League's (NFL) concussion protocol program and should be cleared by a neurologist before playing again.

The 30-year-old veteran struggled in their loss last Sunday and was given a hard time by the Texans' offense, especially wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

ESPN mentioned in the report that if Revis is unable to play in their next game/s, taking his place is cornerback Marcus Williams.

Meanwhile, Mangold left in the second quarter of the game because of a cut in his snapping hand which was between the pinky and ring fingers that required stitches.

The 31-year-old center said he tried to return to the game and was prepping up on the sidelines after suffering the injury, but he could just not grip the ball and decided not to come back.

According to ESPN, a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of his right hand came back negative but it is still uncertain if he will be available to play because of the stitches.

If the injury will prevent Mangold from participating in the next games, Wesley Johnson will be replacing him.

The Jets, who hold a 5–5 record for the third spot in the American Football Conference (AFC) East, will next take on the Miami Dolphins this Sunday for Week 12 action.
