Before suffering consecutive losses to the Utah Jazz and the Sacramento Kings, New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony voiced out his frustrations of not getting enough foul calls from referees this season. 

According to ESPN, Anthony told reporters Wednesday before the loss to Utah, "I always get fouled. That's what's frustrating me. You play so hard, work so hard and don't benefit from that.

"You look at other guys — you touch them and look at them wrong and get fouls. It's a frustrating thing for me as a guy who likes to go to the basket, play in the paint. I like to play physical. It's frustrating," he added. 

According to ESPN's report, heading to Wednesday's defeat to the Jazz, Anthony is having 5.7 free throws per game, which ranks him 19th in the National Basketball Association (NBA). 

Despite the statistic, Anthony is still not satisfied and also spoke about how officials told him that he was hard to officiate.

But the 31-year-old forward believes that if he creates contact going to the basket, there should be foul calls. 

In the Knicks' most recent loss which was suffered against the Kings Thursday, Anthony had 11 free-throws and was successful in six of those. 

The eight-time NBA All-Star finished the night with 23 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block to lead New York in a losing effort. 

Thursday's defeat to Sacramento was the fourth consecutive for the Knicks who are starting to go down the Eastern Conference standings. 

The Knicks own a 10–14 record following the defeat and are 12th in the conference, five and a half games behind the 14–7 Cleveland Cavaliers for the top spot in the East. 

New York will close a three-game road trip this Saturday when they head to the Moda Center and face the Portland Trail Blazers.
