The New York Knicks signed Sasha Vujačić last month and his addition makes him another member of the team who is very familiar with the triangle offense and can teach it to younger players.

Knicks president Phil Jackson is well known for his use of the triangle offense, which won him 11 championships as head coach for the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers.

New York's current head coach, Derek Fisher, played under Jackson with the Lakers and won all five of his championships using the offense.

Now Vujačić, who was also under Jackson and was a teammate of Fisher in Los Angeles, will be another mentor of the triangle offense for the Knicks.

"Of course, of course. I was always someone that helped players on the court," Vujačić said, according to ESPN regarding him teaching the triangle offense.

"We have a lot of rookies and a lot of younger players — I still consider myself young by the way — so we have a great mix of guys and I'm looking forward to teaching them and giving them help," he added.

The Knicks again struggled last season finishing with a 17–65 record, leading others to believe that the triangle offense is not effective; but Vujačić disagrees.

According to him, the triangle offense is proven not only in winning games but also championships.

In almost seven seasons with the Lakers, the 31-year-old guard won two championships under Jackson.

ESPN reported that Vujačić is already working out with some teammates at the Knicks' training facility and they are practicing the triangle offense before scrimmages.

Along with helping young players master the triangle offense, Vujačić's another major contribution to the team will be his three-point shooting, which he has been known for in his career in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Jackson believes Vujačić's shooting can be a game changer for them and he will be an efficient player off the bench.
