New York Knicks NBA 2015 trade news, rumors: Has Phil Jackson won Justise Winslow's heart?

The New York Knicks seem to be scouting past top rookie prospects Jahlil Okafor and Karl-Anthony Towns in the coming NBA Draft. And the player they may be looking at is Okafor's teammate at Duke, Justise Winslow.

Winslow has been interviewed by about 14 teams but of all the teams that he has had talks with, it seems that he has found it comfortable over in New York.

Selected to the McDonald's All American in 2014, Winslow seemed to have a productive talk with Phil Jackson and coach Derek Fisher during his time in New York.

Moreover, it seems that he and Carmelo Anthony have come together just fine, seeing the both at a Yankees game recently.

So does New York have a lock on Winslow? From the looks of it, selecting the former Blue Devil may only be a formality though all that could change should the Knicks end up being able to pick higher and of course have a chance at either Okafor or Towns. Anything is possible at this point and the draft order will play a vital role on whomever the Knicks end up drafting.

Justise is a versatile player who is likened to Jimmy Butler (Chicago Bulls) and Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio Spurs). He is seen as a good defensive stopper although he is armed with deadly offensive artillery as well.

With that said, it seems that this is a prime reason why other teams may be looking to draft him as well (Lakers and Celtics included). His presence thus provides teams something to think about although he could be out in the first five picks.

Where? Stay tuned for the draft order after the lottery picks have been made. More or less, that will give us an idea of where he, Okafor and Towns will end up.
