The New York Knicks finished the 2014-15 season with the worst record in the league at 16-66 and are continuing their rebuilding process by trying to acquire quality players this free agency.

According to the Sports World Report, some free agents the Knicks are looking to land are guards Alexey Shved, John Jenkins and Norris Cole, forward Dorell Wright and center Kevin Seraphin.

Shved, 26, joined New York last season and showed that he was an efficient offensive contributor despite playing in only 16 games.

The Russian combo guard averaged 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game with the Knicks.

Meanwhile, Jenkins played all three of his NBA seasons with the Atlanta Hawks and last season, played only 24 games after having 61 appearances in his first year with the team. Jenkins averaged 5.6 points and 1.6 rebounds during the 2014-15 season.

ESPN New York's Ian Begley reported that the Knicks could use Jenkins as a three-point weapon to address their struggles with three-point shooting.

The Knicks are also looking to land Cole, who is a two-time champion in just four years in the league and has not missed the playoffs in his career. Cole was part of the Miami Heat team that won the title back-to-back in 2012 and 2013, but he was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans last season.

Wright, 29, is another player who already experienced winning the championship when he was with the Heat in 2006. The small forward is also a target for Phil Jackson and the Knicks as he can be a scoring option for them. He proved that during his time with the Golden State Warriors from 2010 to 2012.

Although his numbers declined since leaving the Warriors, Wright is still a quality player who can provide efficient minutes for New York.

The Knicks are also looking at the possibility of adding Seraphin, who can provide help to their frontline. The power forward-cum-center spent his entire five-year career with the Washington Wizards and was a steady backup for the team.

The Knicks already acquired center Robin Lopez, guard Arron Afflalo and forwards Derrick Williams and Kyle O'Quinn this offseason but are still looking to add significant talent to the roster.
