New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers live stream (Game 5 preview): Watch MLB Playoffs 2015 NLDS baseball online (TBS TV)

The New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers will fight it out in Game 5 of their NL Division Series decider on Thursday night. The MLB Playoffs 2015 has reached peak tension, with an extraordinary game between the Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays last night, and this winner takes all game between the Mets and Dodgers is likely to be just as tense. The game takes place from Dodger Stadium with a scheduled start time of 8 p.m. ET. The game can be watched on TV on the TBS network or online through live stream via the link below.

Today's game has a huge pitching match up between the Mets' Jacob deGrom and the Dodgers' Zack Greinke.

DeGrom has admitted that this is the biggest game that he will ever have pitched in, but he has reason to be confident having posted a franchise postseason record-equally 13 strikeouts in Game 1.

DeGrom has said, "I think going into tomorrow, it's probably the biggest game I've ever pitched."

The winner of tonight's sin or go home match up can look forward to a National League Championship Series against the Chicago Cubs, which is set to commence in two days time on Saturday.

If the Dodgers win today then it would be the second time they have made it through to the Championship series in just three seasons. For the Mets however, they have not even won a postseason series since 2006, and will be hoping to usher in a new era of success with a win today.

The Mets will be kicking themselves for allowing this series to come down to a Game 5 in Los Angeles. They of course had the chance to close out the series in front of their home fans in Game 4 but blew their opportunity, and have now had to travel to the other side of the country to Dodger country.

LA's Clayton Kershaw, who pitched an amazing game to see the Dodgers win Game 4, has insisted that this Game 5 will be a 50:50 match up that could easily go either way despite the fact that his team have claimed back home field advantage.

He said, "It's probably dead even, to be honest. As good as Zack is and has been the whole year, deGrom has been the same. So there's really no home-field advantage when you're facing a guy like deGrom. We saw that in Game 1."

Whether the Mets can rely on star pitcher deGrom to take down the Dodgers for a second time this series, or whether Greinke can get Los Angeles over the line, remains to be seen. One thing's for sure, this Game 5 is one not to be missed: expect fireworks!
