True to its promise to gamers, game developer CD Projekt RED continues to roll out updates and free expansion content for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," the recently-launched third installment in the popular "The Witcher" series.

This week, CD Projekt Red will be releasing a new set of cards for Gwent, the popular "The Witcher 3" card game. In addition, there will be a new mission for Geralt. According to a teaser from the developer, the new quest will be called "Fool's Gold," and the teaser image shows a wooden pig. The item is definitely involved with the quest in some way, as the game is known to provide all sorts of quests, from hard monster hunting to the mundane and almost-funny ones like searching for and leading a goat home.

The new expansion contents are part of CD Projekt Red's 16 free expansion updates. The developer had already announced, even before the game's launch, that they are intending to expand the game and provide players with free content. The previous DLCs that CD Projekt Red has already rolled out for free include new looks for characters through custom items like hair styles, beards, and other customization items; updated quests and new missions; and new weapons and armor.

In addition to the continued rollout of the free DLC updates, CD Projekt Red also released a major patch for the game. The new patch introduced some major improvements and tweaks in terms of gameplay, design, and over-all aesthetics. Additionally, the patch addressed some glitches and bugs found in "The Witcher 3" through micro and macro fixes.

The most notable fix the patch brought to the game is the introduction of the Bovine Defense Force Initiative, addressing the exploit in which low-level players can accumulate in-game cash by continually slaying hordes of cows.
